Can't Wait for Captain EO!

Those of you who went to Disneyland in the 80's probably remember Captain EO. It was a 3D movie kinda Star Wars ish staring Michael Jackson and Anjelica Huston. Me being of course the big Michael Jackson fan watched it almost every time I went to Disneyland! It closed in 1997 to make way for Honey I Shrunk the Audience which is a dumb replacement IMO. Disney has announced that they are bringing Captain EO back!!! It's for a limited time but I will take what I can get. They are being really vague on the release date, all we know is that it is coming back Feb. 2010 and that HISTA closed yesterday to make the changes for the show. I can't wait and I am glad they decided to bring it back!

update on life

Well life has been BUSY! Mike and I have been hopping and hopefully soon life will calm down. Life is good. One of the exciting things we have done is breakfast with Shamu. On Valentine's Day we went to Sea World and had a buffet breakfast. we got to see one of the Killer Whales up close (about 5 feet away). Her name was Corkie and she was the oldest killer whale they had at Sea World. It was really exciting to get to see her SO close. The trainers at Sea World warned us many times that we could get splashed and the salt water would ruin any electric devices we had. I figured we couldn't get TOO wet since we had food but I was wrong. Corkie messed up on one of her tricks and we (well I did since Mike was in the bathroom) ended up getting splashed pretty good by the whale. Luckily we were mostly done with our food because water got everywhere! Another interesting fact is SHAMU is the whales LAST name...who knew?

12 things about me

This was a fun thing going around on facebook! I did it but since then I have thought about all these things I should have put so I am doing it again on here!

1. I was named after Gene Kelly (although I am Kelly JEAN spelled the girl way) and got to tell his widow that.
2. I HATE to drive...I will avoid it as much as I can
3. I love old movie stars BUT I don't necessarily love a lot of old movies.
4. I don't make any kind of big decision without consulting my mom, Mike, Ali, Karen and Andi, who knows what will happen if ever they don't all agree.
5. I am full of ideas that I want to make a reality but I have a hard time taking that first step to make it happen.
6. The moment that I knew Andi was my friend for life was in 9th grade when I did not have the field pageantry vest only the street and Andi wore her street one too so I wouldn't be the only one. We stuck out like sore thumbs.
7. I have a lot of dvds and I don't watch most of them. I just want to have them.
8. I am really picky but I LOVE food, hence why I have gained a lot of weight
9. I have a hard time living in the present which I hate. I am always looking towards "when I have a house or when I have kids" It's really bad and I am trying to break myself of that.
10. I am jealous that my husband doesn't have to diet
11. Jurassic Park has been my favorite movie since it came out in 1993.
12. I really want to grow my own vegetables but everything I try to make grow, dies

Accomplishment #5 Viva Las Vegas

SO Mike and I went to Las Vegas last weekend and it was a blast! We decided to only go out for one meal a day so that we could spend our money on touristy stuff. So we arrive at about 10am Saturday morning to Springs Preserve. It's this really neat museum/desert botanical gardens! It had the most high tech stuff I have ever seen and the weirdest bathroom sinks. And a baby fox!

Then we went to the strip and went through many casinos, stopping to see the White Lions and Tigers and the Dolphins at the Mirage!

When we got to Primm to check in, we found out we had FREE tickets to see Boyz II Men! I totally loved them when I was in middle school and their concert was GREAT!

On Sunday, we went to the Ethel M Chocolate factory. I was really disappointed in it because they weren't making any chocolate! But we still got a free piece! Yummy!

Later in the day, we tried different kinds of Coca Cola from around the world! That was a BLAST!! And we walked around all the casinos.

What a great trip!
